"MEDICINE OF CHOICE"
Once someone goes to the doctor with a valid reason for using cannabis as medicine, they receive a prescription and can go get it filled at the (Apotheek) or pharmacy. The cost of the cannabis is about 9 euros 10 cents a gram and comes in 5-gram containers. There are two different potencies available. Its still cheaper and easier to get in the coffeeshops and if you know the right one you can make sure it is organic. Coffeeshops like the Dampkring make a list of which strains of cannabis are grown biologically. Although there is a 5-gram possession allowance in the Netherlands, I have left the pharmacy with two 5-gram containers quite legally.

I still enjoy growing my own the most and can be assured of all the best, organic, growing conditions. Officially even though I am a confirmed medical user, I still am not legally allowed to grow my own medicine. Holland is the first country to legalize cannabis as medicine.
